Installation Considerations

Ceiling cassettes require adequate ceiling space for installation - typically 10-12 inches above the finished ceiling. Access to the unit is needed for filter maintenance, which is accomplished through a drop-down panel in the ceiling grille.

While slightly more complex than wall-mount installation, our pre-charged linesets and comprehensive instructions make ceiling cassette installation achievable for experienced DIYers. Many customers choose to work with a contractor for the ceiling cutout and electrical connection, then complete the refrigerant connection themselves.
